I don’t think my grades are right, what can I do?
If you have a query about your results, you should contact your centre (school/college) about applying for an Initial Review request. All applications for this must come from your centre. CCEA cannot accept requests from candidates or parents/carers/guardians.
If you are a private candidate you should contact the centre who managed your centre assessment grade to submit an Initial Review request.
My Initial Review request was rejected, what can I do?
If you have a query about the outcome of your Initial Review, you should contact your centre (school/college).
Is it worthwhile applying for an Initial Review request?
You should contact your centre for advice.Your teachers and your Head of Centre are the best people to advise you. All Initial Review requests must be submitted by your centre
I have received an outcome letter for my Initial Review, I don’t agree with it, what can I do?
If you have a query about your results, you should contact your centre (school/college) about applying for an Independent Review. All applications for this must come from your centre. CCEA cannot accept requests from candidates or parents/carers/guardians.
I am an A Level candidate and I urgently need a review of my grade for application to university. Is there a priority service this summer 2020 series?
Due to exceptional circumstances in summer 2020 there is no priority service this year. However, please make your centre aware of your position and ask them to complete the Initial Review template accordingly.
How much does an Initial Review request cost?
There are no charges for any Post Results Services for summer 2020.
How long will it take to get the outcome of an Initial Review request?
The outcome of the review will be reported to your centres as early as possible, but no later than 42 calendar days on receipt of your request.
All outcomes of reviews are returned to centres and not directly to candidates.
What happens if my Initial Review is accepted and the grade changes?
If you request an Initial Review and it results in a grade change, the new grade will be reported to your centre. A new statement of results will be issued to the centre to reflect this change. Your certificate will also carry the new grade.
Candidates should be advised before using any Post Results Service, that grades may go up or down.
When can I apply for a post results service?
You must request any post results examinations services through your centre. The post results closing date is 17 September 2020.
What is the final date by which a post results service can be requested?
The post results requests closing date is 17 September 2020.
How will I find out the result of my request?
CCEA will send a letter to your centre outlining the outcome of your request as a candidate.
May I as a candidate put in a post results request directly to CCEA?
No. All requests for the post results services must be placed by the centre at which you as the candidate is registered.
