Ofqual and DfE England Consultation on Ensuring the resilience of the qualifications system launched
The joint Department for Education (DfE) England and Ofqual consultation, Ensuring the resilience of the qualifications system was launched on 10 May 2023.
This consultation is seeking views from stakeholders on proposed long-term resilience arrangements for the qualifications system. Whilst this is a DfE and Ofqual consultation for England only, decisions reached from this consultation will impact centres in Northern Ireland who offer qualifications from England based awarding organisations.
This consultation is likely to be of interest to:
- students, including private candidates, who are expecting to take GCSE, AS, A level, Project, and Advanced Extension Award (AEA) qualifications and their parents and carers;
- teachers of these qualifications, school governors, school and college leaders and heads of other types of exam centre;
- stakeholder representative organisations, including unions, exams officers, exam boards, awarding organisations; and or
- those who use qualifications to make selection decisions: further and higher education institutions and employers.
The consultation will close on 2 August at 11:45 pm.
