CCEA Regulation has been working with other UK regulators on further flexibilities around adaptations in vocational qualifications for 2020-2021, and welcomes the announcement by Ofqual on 3 December.

This confirms further changes to vocational and technical qualifications that will allow awarding bodies to reduce the number of units assessed, and encourages awarding bodies to use the full flexibilities available to them under the EERF. The flexibilities can be found at the following link:

This will mean that new adaptations to vocational and technical qualifications can be made by awarding organisations for Northern Ireland centres. It will be the responsibility of awarding organisations to communicate their changes with centres in a timely and accurate fashion. Centres should begin to receive communications from the awarding organisations shortly.
