Level 3 Creative Crafts (2010)
Please note that the last opportunity for assessment for this qualification is Summer 2021; after that, the qualification will be withdrawn. In 2020 and 2021 the assessment is available in Summer only.
CCEA qualifications in Creative Crafts are available at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. At each level learners can choose one of 12 different creative pathways, ranging from ceramics and pottery to photography and digital imaging.
This qualification allows learners to acquire fundamental knowledge of the creative craft process. There is no written examination or external test. Learners produce a portfolio of evidence that supports the development of a final piece of craftwork.
Learners must complete three units for this qualification and can choose any one of the following 12 available pathways:

- Digital Imaging Skills
- Drawing and Painting Skills
- Fashion Skills
- Floral Craft Skills
- Interior Design Skills
- Jewellery Skills
- Metalwork Skills
- Mixed Craft Skills
- Photography Skills
- Pottery Skills
- Textiles Skills.
Skills developed through Creative Crafts
A Creative Crafts qualification allows learners to develop skills and knowledge of a particular craft area or extend their existing skills and knowledge of their chosen craft. They also expand their knowledge by researching and designing a particular craft item for final moderation.
