Level 3 Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (2010)
The CCEA Level 3 Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) rewards the achievement of young people who take part in a variety of activities that develop personal, key and employability skills.
Teachers and parents have always recognised that learning is not just about what happens in the classroom. Learning outside the classroom can also contribute significantly to personal development.
CoPE provides a framework for the development, assessment and accreditation of skills achieved through a wide range of enrichment activities. We have worked closely with relevant bodies supporting these activities to ensure that CoPE appeals to young people. Learners can obtain recognition and accreditation while at the same time giving something back to their community.
Assessment is through internally assessed portfolios; there are no external written examinations.
