CCEA qualifications in Performance Skills are available at Level 1 and Level 2. These qualifications give learners an opportunity to develop practical skills relating to the performance industry.

Learners may choose either to take the Level 1 qualification first or to go straight to the Level 2 qualification. At each level they can:

• develop their skills with a view to progressing to further qualifications or training; and
• focus on their performance ability by developing their critical awareness, acquiring and developing fundamental practical skills.

All performance types and genres are recognised – whether it be drama, dance, music (voice, choral or DJ skills), circus skills, synchronised swimming, poetry reading, debating, stand-up comedy or puppetry. The assessment can involve solo or group work.
