Talk Money Week 2024 - Do One Thing

Talk Money Week, 4-8 November, is the national campaign that aims to get everyone talking money.

Co-ordinated by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) and supported by CCEA, schools and colleges in Northern Ireland are encouraged to Do One Thing to talk to and teach their pupils about money.

To get involved, teachers can run financial education activities in the classroom, find out what their students want to learn about money, or share information with parents and carers about what they can do at home to strengthen their children’s money skills. Take a look at the Talk Money Toolkit for Schools for ideas, communication tools and resources to help deliver effective financial education during the week and beyond.

In the last year, CCEA has worked with MaPS to produce Financial Education Guidance. This guidance was prepared with the aim of supporting school leaders, teachers, governors, and learning organisations by providing tips and techniques for embedding and enhancing the provision of financial education.
