CCEA launches new surveys to gauge impact of Period Dignity Pilot Scheme
The Period Dignity Pilot Scheme, funded by the NI Executive, provides free period products to all schools in Northern Ireland and educational support to help break the stigma and taboo around periods.
CCEA has developed a free online Teacher Professional Learning Programme for schools, and resources on Period Dignity and Menstrual Wellbeing will soon be available on the CCEA website.
Teacher and Pupil Surveys
Today CCEA has launched two surveys to gain insight into the ongoing implementation and impact of the Period Dignity Pilot Scheme.
Feedback from the two surveys, one for teachers and one for pupils, will help inform the Department of Education and CCEA on the effectiveness of the scheme so far and support further improvements for pupils and schools.
These surveys are open to all pupils and teaching staff in Northern Ireland schools and should only take approximately 15 minutes to complete*. All responses are confidential.
*There are additional questions in relation to the implementation of the Period Dignity Pilot Scheme for teachers who are a school Key Contact as part of this project. These questions provide the opportunity to express views on support available, the procurement process and how the scheme might be improved.
Please send responses by Friday 7 April 2023.
