2021 Results Day for Vocational, Occupational Studies and Entry Level Students

Today, Thursday 12 August 2021, 10,297 students from 180 schools and colleges in Northern Ireland received the results of their 2021 Vocational, Occupational Studies and Entry Level qualifications.

All examinations and formal assessments were cancelled this year due to the impact of COVID-19. Instead, schools and colleges used teacher professional assessment and available evidence to reach Centre Determined Grades (CDGs).

Commenting on this summer’s results, Margaret Farragher, Interim Chief Executive of the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) said:

Congratulations to all our students who received their results this morning. This has been a challenging year, with varied levels of disruption experienced by schools, colleges and students.

We commend our students and their families for the resilience and determination that they have shown throughout the year. We also wish to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to their teachers, tutors, exams officers, heads of centre and colleagues who have all worked exceptionally hard to determine grades this summer.

Well done to all our learners and best wishes for your future.
