CCEA launches new Coding in the Classroom resources as part of EU CodeWeek
CCEA has launched a new Digital Skills Framework for Key Stage 3 that aims to ensure young people become Digital Citizens, Workers and Makers. Accompanying the framework are a series of resources which will support Coding in the Classroom.
We live in an age where Digital Skills are all pervasive. The current generation of learners are growing up digitally connected, surrounded by technology and media from across the globe. It is therefore vital that young people have wide ranging digital exposure throughout their education to develop digital skills and confidence and to embrace technology in all its breadth.
The resources created provide teachers with practical online teaching and learning materials to support the pathway for Coding or Digital Maker. CCEA has been working in collaboration with a range of industry partners to ensure that the resources are reflective of current industry practice and relevant to today’s standards.
The Digital Skills Framework for Key Stage 3 provides excellent opportunities for learners to progress to CCEA’s flagship GCSE in Digital Technology and GCE in Software Systems Development.
