Mathematics
CCEA qualifications in Mathematics are available at Entry Level, GCSE and GCE. Qualifications in Further Mathematics are available at both GCSE and GCE.
Mathematics is all around us. It exists in the proportions of artistic works, in the scores of our favourite songs and in the physical structures we live and work in daily. It has strong links to many other subjects including the Sciences, Digital Technology, Economics and Engineering.
Studying mathematics provides students with opportunities to learn about the relevance of mathematics to everyday life. It also prepares them for further and higher education courses and employment.
Students can develop skills that are essential for further study and the workplace. These include problem solving, logic and reasoning, and attention to detail. Mathematics can also lead to careers in the IT industry, finance, business and teaching.
