The Q Skills are a broad, inclusive framework for assessing learners aged 3 to 19, taking into account their age, cognitive ability, learning difficulties and complex needs. They give schools and allied professionals a common structure and language to assess learners as they progress through the Q Skills and, potentially, on to Level 1 in the Cross-Curricular Skills of Communication, Using Mathematics and Using ICT.
