Here you will find exemplification of innovative and effective ‘Emotional Health and Wellbeing’ (EHWB) practices in special school settings (SLD).

Four special school settings share their practice of how they support the emotional health and wellbeing of pupils, staff, and the whole-school community. Each school focuses on one specific aspect of their EHWB practice.

The school examples show a whole-child, whole-school, whole-community approach to wellbeing. The schools have been successful in supporting and enhancing the wellbeing of pupils, staff, and the whole-school community. The strategies they used have had had a positive impact on pupils’ emotional regulation, resilience, and cognitive development.
