Lesson 6: Commemoration

The sixth and final lesson of the module explores the ways that the
 Easter Rising has been commemorated. The lesson outlines the challenges
 of commemoration, with particular attention to the problems of public remembrance in a divided community. The lesson discusses the factors complicating commemoration of the events of 1916. Finally, the lesson looks at how the Easter Rising might be commemorated now, on the eve of the centenary.
