Every day we get messages from images that we see. Visual images, whether still or moving, help us to understand people and the world we live in. In the same way that we take meaning out of visual image, we can make and shape our own messages using visual images. A good way to create meaning with words is through poetry. Writing and reading poetry is all about the meaning that an individual brings to the creation or the understanding of the poem.

Textplorations helps us to understand poetry and visual images by setting them alongside each other for different purposes. There are no right answers in Textplorations – the difference between our own and others’ ideas is what the creativity of Textplorations is all about.
