Pharmacy Schools Programme
This online resource can support learning about how we can use health professionals and health services in our community.
It uses a health literacy approach to explore self-care, the role of a pharmacist, the safe use of medicines, common childhood ailments and how we can all access and understand health information better.
The programme includes lesson plans and resources for each year group in primary school to support delivery of the Personal Development and Mutual Understanding area of learning of the Northern Ireland Curriculum.
These can be used as a complementary resource to Unit 3 (the Yellow unit) for Living.Learning.Together.
It has been co-produced with a range of organisations across pharmacy, education, health, community and voluntary sectors and academia.
