This resource is intended to support teachers and their schools in addressing the curriculum proposals for Local and Global Citizenship at Key Stage 3.

It deals with the key themes of:

• Diversity and Inclusion, Human Rights and Social Responsibility (Units 1, 2 and 3);
• Equality and Social Justice (Units 4, 5 and 6); and
• Democracy and Active Participation (Units 7, 8 and 9).

Whilst the resource has not been specifically written for Local and Global Citizenship at Key Stage 4, it may also serve as a useful introduction to these same themes at Key Stage 4.
