These ‘How To’ posters are designed for classroom display. Each one focuses on the processes and language that a pupil needs to understand and feel confident about a specific aspect of maths.

The focus topics were chosen by primary teachers and the content quality assured by the Using Mathematics primary moderators here at CCEA.

To promote continuity of learning as pupils transition from primary to post-primary learning similar posters are available for Key Stage 3 which use and build on the same language and processes.

These posters are also a useful online resource for parents helping their child with maths at home.
