Assessing the Areas of Learning at Key Stage 3

The guidance on subject assessment at Key Stage 3 supports principals, senior leaders/managers and teachers to plan and develop subject assessment at whole-school and departmental levels. It promotes the development of coherent and manageable assessment practices. It supports equity and fairness for all pupils and reflects the Northern Ireland Curriculum and school improvement strategies. The guidance is intended to support teachers as practitioners of quality assessment and to improve assessment literacy.
