Lesson 1: Knowing Home (Population)
Learners analyse census data to identify population changes, go outside to explore the concept of median and compare frequency, pie and bar charts to decide which are easiest to read.
Lesson 2: On the Map (Settlements)
Learners investigate the counties of Northern Ireland and learn to make general statements about the data they uncover.
Lesson 3: Using The Data (Transport)
Learners use an interactive pie chart creator to compare class and national travel data, appreciate how filtering data can make it more useful and travel back in time to look at how cars have changed over time.
Lesson 4: Working for it (Occupations)
Learners create timelines, discuss whether quantitative or qualitative data is the more useful and interview older generations to learn how technology has changed over time.
