Lessons
Lesson 1: What do the PSNI do?
This lesson requires pupils to explore the different roles of the police and consider what characteristics would make a good police officer in the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).
Lesson 2: Reducing crime in our communities
This lesson relates to crime facts in Northern Ireland. It requires pupils to explore the different types of crime that police officers in Northern Ireland have to deal with. Pupils have opportunities to consider in detail what they could do as young people to help combat crime in their communities.
Lesson 3: Community policing
This lesson invites pupils to put themselves in the shoes of a member of the PSNI working within local communities. It requires pupils to think about the things that make the job of a community police officer easier or more difficult. They then explore different ways to overcome the difficulties and encourage more positive behaviour.
