CCEA, British Nutrition Foundation Webinar | Healthy and Sustainable Diets

CCEA and the British Nutrition Foundation hosted a live webinar for NI teachers in March 2022, introducing the different factors that must be considered when discussing a healthy and sustainable diet, and the dietary shifts that are needed to achieve this. The session covered the following areas:

  • The importance of food systems transformation for improving human and planetary health.
  • Areas of debate and controversy surrounding what a healthy and sustainable diet should (and should not) contain.
  • The potential health and environmental benefits of following the Eatwell Guide more closely.
  • Five suggested ‘action areas’ for changing our current diets to be healthier and more sustainable, including practical tips for how to do this.
