Traditional Music can be played on many instruments
The main traditional instruments are: string - fiddle, harp and banjo;
wind - uilleann pipes, bagpipes, flute, tin whistle; and free-reed - accordion.
The bodhrán is the standard percussion instrument, and drumming is part of the
bagpiping tradition. Traditional music can of course be played on many
other instruments not typically associated with traditional music – piano,
mouth organ and dulcimer to name a few. It really comes down to the
musician and his or her relationship with their chosen instrument.
