Shared Education Core Curriculum Aspect Resources

The NI Curriculum can provide the knowledge, understanding, skills and personal capabilities and attitudes required for supporting schools to address reconciliation outcomes. It offers an opportunity to embed Shared Education through distinct areas of learning such as Personal Development and Mutual Understanding at Primary and Learning for Life and Work at Post Primary, cross curricular skills, thinking skills & personal capabilities and attitudes & dispositions.

CCEA has a range of resources that are explicitly targeted at developing pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills in these key aspects, leading to improved educational and reconciliation outcomes.

The aim of these thematic units is to support the teaching and assessing of Learning for Life and Work for pupils with SEN (aged 11 – 19).
