Essential Skills MicrositeCCEA is Northern Ireland’s own Essential Skills provider. We provide extensive advice, support and training which is tailored to the needs of colleges, Further Education establishments and Training organisations in Northern Ireland and is consistent with national regulations, standards and requirements.

Essential Skills are nationally accredited qualifications available throughout Northern Ireland in:

  • Entry Level Literacy
  • Entry Level Numeracy
  • Level 1 & 2 Communication
  • Level 1 & 2 Application of Number

Due to the recent inclement weather conditions, the Application of Number Levels 1 & 2 examinations have changed from Monday 16 October PM to Thursday 19 October PM. In addition, the Communication Level 1 Examination has changed from Tuesday 17 October PM to Friday 20 October AM. Please be aware of the morning start for the new Friday 20 October timetable slot for Communication Level 1.
