Road Safety Week is the UK's biggest road safety event, coordinated annually by Brake, the road safety charity.

Road Safety Week aims to inspire thousands of schools, organisations and communities to take action on road safety and promote life-saving messages during the Week and beyond. It also provides a focal point for professionals working in road safety to boost awareness and engagement in their work.

Using Mathematics: Suggested classroom activities to support teaching and learning using the Levels of Progression

This online booklet contains example classroom activities designed to support assessment as an integral part of the teaching and learning process. It suggests ideas for helping pupils to progress from level to level. It includes themes such as Food, Healthy Eating and Cooking, Fairy Tales, Houses and Homes, Road Safety, The Romans and The Victorians.

Encourage pupils to develop their Using Mathematics skills as part of Road Safety Awareness Week. Access the Road Safety activity (page 31) for ideas on how to promote pupils’ Handling Data skills.
