Over 1820 local teachers from all across Northern Ireland received certificates from CCEA as a result of a new JCQ initiative which recognises the sustained contribution teachers have made to the examining and moderating of exams.
The JCQ Award celebrated all those - as of summer 2017 - who had served as examiners for 3 or more consecutive years with the same awarding body.
Justin Edwards, CCEA's Chief executive commented:
"At CCEA we value the input of teachers into our examination process. This recognition award provides an opportunity to reward those with over 3 years dedication to the examination service. This is our first year of this award and we hope to be able to recognise 5 and 10 years continuous examination service in future years."
If you are interested in becoming an examiner/moderator with CCEA, we are recruiting now for 2018. Registering is simple - you can do it online at www.ccea.org.uk; by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (028) 9026 1243 or (028) 9026 1294.
