As part of its ongoing Digital Skills initiative, CCEA has provided six 1-day workshops entitled "The use of Adobe Photoshop for image editing" and "Recording music in the classroom using Garageband". The workshops were aimed at Key Stage 3 Art & Design or Music teachers with little or no experience of using the software.
Through the workshops, the teachers were given the opportunity to become familiar with the software workspace and the tools and techniques that can be employed in the Key Stage 3 classroom. Teachers who attended the training will be provided with follow up support on how they can successfully implement what they have learnt into their teaching.
The workshops proved to be extremely popular, with around 90 teachers being involved and many more placed onto a waiting list.
The Key Stage 3 Digital Skills team will be facilitating more training in different aspects of digital skills in the new academic year.
