The Curriculum team in CCEA are introducing Webinars as a method of providing tailored support for teachers.
A webinar is short for web-based seminar and is a lesson, lecture, presentation or workshop that is delivered over the Internet using video conferencing software. These can be hosted by a CCEA representative or subject expert.
A key feature of a webinar is its interactivity i.e. the ability to give, receive and discuss information.
Our first series of webinars are targeted at Key Stage 3 Numeracy/Using Mathematics Coordinators.
There are three webinars planned for this series
- Webinar 1 – Introduction to the role of a Numeracy/Using Mathematics coordinator
- Webinar 2 – Carrying out an audit of Using Mathematics/Numeracy
- Webinar 3 - Implementing Numeracy in your school
Teachers are invited to register for each live webinar separately. Teachers do not have to participate in all three webinars. They are free to choose those which best reflect their needs. Registration will be available from Thursday 5th May 2016 at 8.30 am.
The webinars will be recorded and can be viewed through the Webinar Archive on the Assess and Progress website.
