Anything’s Possible Storysack resource available online

The Anything’s Possible Storysack resource was developed by CCEA and sent to all Primary Schools across Northern Ireland in 2005. The Storysack included teacher support in terms of making connections across the curriculum at key stage 1, whilst at the same time aimed to plant the seeds of an enterprising culture. The resource is now available online.

A significant number of teachers in Northern Ireland have told us they lack confidence in teaching investigative Science and Technology. Stories are a great way to ‘hook’ children into doing Science and Technology by providing the context for asking questions such as, why? and so what? As a result we are currently developing learning, teaching and assessment resources based on this story which focus on the scientific inquiry.

If you would like to learn more about these and other developments please visit our stand at the Primary Science Teaching Trust conference on 9 and 10 June or contact Melanie Mulligan by email mmulligan@ccea.org.uk
