CCEA celebrates the achievements of Northern Ireland's most inspirational learners

Inspiration was the order of the day at the Stormont Hotel, Belfast as CCEA recognised the achievements of Northern Ireland's Learners of the year.

The Celebrating Achievement Awards is a unique opportunity for tutors across Northern Ireland to nominate learners to be recognised by CCEA for the remarkable journey they have taken to achieve their vocational qualifications.

From Communication to Construction and Engineering to Employability, 25 winners were selected the 'learners of the year' in Northern Ireland and had their inspirational achievements recognised in front of an audience of family, friends and tutors at the Stormont Hotel.

CCEA Chairman Trevor Carson addressing the winners stated:

"You are here, not just because of the work that you have put in to achieve your qualifications, but because you have demonstrated qualities that have set you apart, and inspired your teachers and tutors to nominate you for this award.

Our community's most valuable resource is its people; people who are hard-working, confident and competent individuals who are productive and innovative, ready to thrive in the economy.

That is all of you."

CCEA's Examinations Manager Michael Crossan was there to congratulate learners on the day:

By showing the qualities it took to win these awards today these remarkable people have started on a journey of learning and development.

It reminds me education is about enriching lives. It makes us better people, gives us new skills, new perspectives and new opportunities.
