School visits on GCSE and GCE results days

In the past few weeks, students in Northern Ireland have received their long-awaited GCSE and GCE results.

CCEA’s Director of Qualifications Anne Marie Duffy and Examinations Manager Michael Crossan visited a number of schools on 16 and 23 August to chat to students about their results and their hopes for the future.

This year GCE results were issued on 16 August and Anne Marie joined the Department of Employment and Learning Minister Stephen Farry at Lagan College, Belfast. Meanwhile Michael visited Rainey Endowed School in Magherafelt, where he met with new Principal Mark McCullough.

GCSE results were issued to students on 23 August and Anne Marie joined Education Minister John O’Dowd at St Louise’s Comprehensive College in Belfast. Michael made the trip to St Patrick’s High School, Keady.
