The conference will take place in the Metropolitan Arts Centre (The MAC), a venue right at heart of Belfast’s cultural hub, the Cathedral Quarter.

 

Facilities and Services at the conference venue

  • Conference sessions and workshops will be held exclusively in English. No interpreter service will be provided.
  • Catering will be included for morning and afternoon breaks and over lunch;
  • Free Wifi is available at the venue
  • We are aiming to have a paperless event. Therefore, all conference materials, such as programme and speaker profiles, will be available in advance on the conference website. The link to the site will be forwarded to you in early March.

Travelling from Belfast International Airport

Belfast International Airport is situated 18 miles north-west of Belfast and is easily accessible via the major road and motorway network.

By taxi

By bus
Regular bus and coach services are available from the front of the terminal building to Belfast. For all Airport bus timetables please visit the Translink website.

  • Airport Express 300 - a regular service (every 15-20 minutes) operates on weekdays and weekends. The bus leaves from the bus stop located opposite the terminal exit.
  • From the Airport to Belfast - All coaches will travel from Belfast International Airport, stopping at Royal Avenue, and the Belfast Europa Buscentre.
  • From Belfast to the Airport - From the Belfast Europa Buscentre to airport.
  • Approximate journey time 30-40 minutes subject to traffic conditions.

Travelling from George Best City Airport

The airport is on the eastern edge of the city, approximately 3 miles from Belfast City Centre.

By Taxi
Approved taxis operate from the Airport taxi rank outside the terminal building. Wheel-chair accessible taxis are available. By Train
Translink operates a rail service (0600-2300) Monday-Saturday to Belfast Central Station and Victoria Street Stations every 20 minutes. The service is hourly on Sundays (0900-2200). A shuttle bus service operates between the airport terminal and the nearest rail halt at Sydenham. Please go to the airport information desk and ask for the service. You will be instructed to wait by the taxi rank where the shuttle bus will collect you. The same service operates between the rail halt and the airport terminal. By Bus
The Airport Express 600 operates every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 40 minutes on Sunday from outside the airport to the Belfast Europa Bus Centre adjacent to the Europa Hotel, in the heart of the city of Belfast. The service, Airport Express 600, operates between 0545 and 2125.

Parking

Park securely at Saint Anne’s Square multi-storey car park, right beside the MAC on Edward Street. It’s open 24 hours.
