Cross-Curricular Skills at Key Stages 1 & 2

These core skills allow young people to access knowledge. The curriculum emphasises transferring, applying and using these skills effectively. Teachers must ensure that they help pupils develop the Cross-Curricular Skills across the curriculum.

At the end of each Key Stage, teachers must assess and report on pupils’ progress in each of the Cross-Curricular Skills. They must refer to the Levels of Progression for Communication, Using Mathematics and Using ICT.
