The National STEM Centre houses the UK’s largest collection of STEM teaching and learning resources, in order to provide teachers of STEM subjects with the ability to access a wide range of high-quality support materials.

Innovation Unitinnovationunit.org

The Innovation Unit was established by the DfES (Department for Education and Skills) - now the DfE in June 2002. It has now become an independent, not-for-profit social enterprise committed to advancing practice and improving outcomes in public services. Innovation Unit’s education work is centred on making school more engaging and meaningful for students. There are downloadable resources in the education section of the website.


Futurelab was launched in 2001 with a remit to enhance the learning experience for school children using digital media and content. In 2011 Futurelab merged with the NFER.  Futurelab’s focus is on applications of creativity and technology to inspire and engage young people. Futurelab provides practical tools and services using evidence of what works.

Future Morphfuturemorph.org

Future Morph is a website set up by the Science Council in 2008. Sponsored by many learned societies with interest in the sciences, it is intended to help pupils, teachers and parents explore the range of careers that studying science, technology, engineering or maths beyond the age of 16 can support.
