Webinar is short for web-based seminar and is a lesson, lecture, presentation or workshop that is delivered over the Internet using video conferencing software.
A key feature of a webinar is its interactivity i.e. the ability to give, receive and discuss information. This is in contrast to a webcast in which the information transmitted is one way and does not allow interaction between the presenter and the audience.
