Key Stage 3

Task Library

Exemplar assessment tasks are provided by CCEA for post primary schools along with task writing tools for each of the cross-curricular skills to enable schools to create their own tasks.

A task approval system is in place to review school submitted assessment tasks against a set of criteria.

To access the Task and Exemplification libraries, go to www.ccea.org.uk/training, login with your C2k login credentials and select Task and Exemplification.

Exemplification Library

CCEA provide an Exemplification Library for post primary schools containing examples of pupil work that illustrate the standards for Levels of Progression 1-7 in the cross-curricular skills.

Each record of exemplification work in the library contains:

  • a piece of pupil work that has been assessed and levelled;
  • a commentary, which describes the evidence for that level;
  • the CCEA-Approved/Exemplar Assessment Task used to generate the pupil work; and
  • where appropriate, the accompanying pupil activity.

However, teachers are strongly advised to view the examples in the library and then develop their own assessment tasks that will meet the needs of their pupils.

To access the Task and Exemplification libraries, go to www.ccea.org.uk/training, login with your C2k login credentials and select Task and Exemplification.
