CCEA wishes to appoint Moderators to be responsible, as part of the Using ICT Moderating team, for the quality assurance moderation of UICT work from Irish-medium schools and units. Successful applicants will be placed on a register of moderators and will be called to participate in moderation as required.
Applications are invited from recognised primary teachers from the Irish Medium sector and with relevant experience of the Cross-Curricular Skill of Using ICT within the Northern Ireland Curriculum.
Moderators will be contracted for one year in the first instance. This contract will include up to 10 days. Additional days, if and when required only, to be agreed with the moderator and their principal (if appropriate). This will include attendance at training and standardising meetings, for which teacher release will be available, if required.
Applicants need to be available for up to 10 days, or the equivalent thereof, within each academic year (with any additional days (if and when required) to be agreed with the moderator and their principal (if appropriate)).Applicants need to be available for moderator training (up to 3 days, taken from the agreed 10 days) as well as the full moderation period (minimum of 5 days, which will be taken from the agreed 10 days).
