Irish-Medium Moderators for Statutory Assessment – KS1 & 2 Communication & Using Mathematics

This position is on a contract-for-services basis

CCEA wishes to appoint Moderators to be responsible for the quality assurance moderation of Irish-Medium schools and units. Successful applicants will be placed on a register of moderators and will be called to participate in moderation as required.

Applications are invited from recognised primary teachers from all sectors including Special Educational Needs (SEN) with relevant experience of the Cross-Curricular Skill of Communication & Using Mathematics within the Northern Ireland Curriculum.

Moderators will be contracted for one year in the first instance. This contract will include up to 12 days’ commitment covering the periods January-June and August-November. Work will also be expected to be done in own time for which he/she will be remunerated.

Due to the volume of applications continually received, we are unable to provide candidates with individual feedback following shortlisting or interview. Candidates will however be advised of the overall outcome of each stage of the selection process.

CCEA reserves the right to make appointments on the basis of the information supplied i.e.: application forms and references. The criteria for these contracts for services posts may be enhanced at the shortlisting stage. If an interview is deemed necessary, the Council will interview only those candidates who appear, on the basis of their qualifications and experience, to be the most suitable for appointment.
